Nunnery Wall

Dolma Ling Nunnery and Institute is home to over 230 nuns. It is a large complex of buildings located at the foothills of the Himalayas near Dharamsala.

Realizing that the land around the nunnery was likely to be developed, the nunnery purchased and constructed a back road into the property some years ago. Maintaining this access is very important for security and also because this road access will be vital for any future development at the nunnery.

As predicted, plots adjacent to the road access have been sold for building houses. However, unless our boundary is more clearly defined, these new buildings are likely to encroach upon the road, reducing its already very narrow width.

To ensure the boundary of the nunnery’s road we need to build a low wall, 176-foot long, with a fence on top of it to protect the vulnerable section of the road.

Please help protect the vital access to the nunnery.

Total cost: $3,300
