Thanks to seven generous donors, we have fully funded the project to provide 15 tables and 2 stools for the nuns’ rooms at Dolma Ling Nunnery and Institute in northern India.
Report on Furnishing the Nuns’ Rooms
The number of nuns at Dolma Ling Nunnery keeps increasing every year and is now home to over 230 nuns. The nuns share rooms and there was simply not enough furniture to go around. The nunnery did an inventory of all the rooms and, after a careful discussion, they requested help to supply 15 more tables and 2 more stools for the nuns’ rooms.
Here’s a selection of photos showing the carpenter making the furniture.
The tables and stools will be used for many purposes. The nuns need the tables and stools when they study on their own, outside of the classrooms, and also for their books. The furniture will make a big impact on their daily lives.
