For less than $1 per day, you can help provide food, shelter, education and health care to a nun. One hundred percent of sponsorship funds go directly to India to support the nuns. You can become a sponsor today and be linked with a specific nun who will write to you. Sponsorship is the heart of our program. We always need new sponsors.
One fabulous way you can support the nuns is by becoming a regular donor. You can choose the amount and frequency of your recurring gift. Even a modest gift of $5 or $10 a month would be a big help. You can donate here or contact our office in Seattle, US at 206-652-8901 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we can set up your monthly gifts today.
The nuns take great pride in making products for sale through our website as part of their income generating program. They hand make unique gifts such as prayer beads and bags, prayer flags, nun and monk dolls, door hangings, kataks (offering scarves), shopping bags and more. Many of the products are handmade and blessed by the nuns. If you are purchasing gifts for friends and family throughout the year, please consider a gift made with love by the nuns. You can visit our online store.
One of our sponsors said, “A donation to this cause benefits beyond helping just the nuns… it benefits the Tibetan culture, it benefits refugees from Tibet, it benefits education for women, it benefits the Buddhist religion and community and all of this spreads like a ripple of compassion for others beyond that community. This is not charity; it is an investment in humanity.”
Naming the Tibetan Nuns Project as a beneficiary in your will is a way to help support future generations of Tibetan Buddhist nuns. After you care for your loved ones, you can make a bequest in your will and leave a legacy of compassion. To receive our Legacies of Compassion booklet or for more information, please contact us.
With the gift to an endowment fund, you have the chance to build a strong foundation for Tibetan nuns living as refugees in northern India. A gift to an endowment is a permanent gift to the Tibetan Nuns Project. The principal is invested, to grow over time, while the annual income provides a reliable source of support to achieve the mission of supporting and educating Tibetan nuns living in exile. Please email email@example.com to ask for an endowment packet, or call the office at 206-652-8901. We will gladly discuss all of the endowment funding options.
You can make a gift to the nuns in honor of a friends, family, teachers and colleagues and we will send a beautiful tribute card to either you or the designated person, telling them about your gift. Order a tribute card today.

In the past, supporters of the Tibetan Nuns Project have asked us for ways to spread the word about the Project and raise money. To be of assistance, we have put together a House Party Kit designed to help you throw your own fundraising event. Included is everything you need to host a successful event: instructions, introductory DVD, a sample invitation letter, questions and answers, thank you letter, sign up sheets, and more. A product table can also be a part of your party – the Tibetan Nuns Project offers freedom bracelets, calendars, and prayer flags. If you have any questions or would like to receive a house party kit, please contact us.
We have created an Amazon Wish List of about 80 basic items that the nuns in India need, such as shoes, mittens for cold weather, and socks. You can see all the items and order what you wish and it will be sent by Amazon straight to India.
In-kind gifts of specific items can really help to keep our expenses as low as possible. If you’d like to make an in-kind to the Tibetan Nuns Project, please contact us and we can tell you what is needed most in both India and at our small US office.
