In 2024, we asked for your help to purchase classroom and media equipment for the nuns at Dolma Ling. The nuns extend their heartfelt gratitude to all supporters for enabling this crucial upgrade. The new equipment has now been installed and is already contributing to a more efficient and productive environment for the nuns and staff at Dolma Ling. Here is the report on the impact of your generosity.
Classroom Projectors
The 277 nuns at Dolma Ling needed your help to buy two classroom projectors to be shared by the teachers because their old projector broke down. The new projectors are particularly useful for teaching Tibetan grammar and literature.
Here’s a slideshow showing the projectors in action.
Projectors facilitate more interactive and visually engaging lessons. The two Epson EB FH06 Full HD projectors are now available to all teachers, assisting the learning environment across all disciplines.

Here’s a “before” photo showing a science class at Dolma Ling using an old whiteboard. Projected images are not only easier to read but also make learning more engaging and fun. The projectors allow teachers to teach in three ways: through text, images, and video.
Using a chalkboard or whiteboard is time-consuming and labor-intensive. Projectors are simpler because teachers can create reusable presentations rather than spending time writing out the lessons on a chalkboard or whiteboard. If a point needs clarification, the teacher can easily return to that slide.

Here’s another “before” picture. Classroom education is a core part of the nuns’ education at Dolma Ling and the new projectors will make a big difference in the classrooms.
Media Equipment: Computer and Printer
The Media Room at Dolma Ling Nunnery is a powerful place for the nuns to use their voice and creativity to share their news and stories. The nuns in the media room work on documentation, including photography, video recording, and other media-related activities. However, they were struggling with an outdated computer.

Thank you for the media equipment for Dolma Ling Nunnery! The Media Nuns sent these photos to you with their heartfelt thanks. On the bottom right you can see the special printer that is so useful for ID documents.
Thanks to your generosity, the Media Room was able to purchase:
- Mac Mini M2 Pro with LCD Monitor
- Passport Printer
- Magic Mouse
- Magic Keyboard
These upgrades allow for better photo and video processing and contribute significantly to maintaining visual archives and producing essential documents. Their old computer no longer allowed them to do their media tasks. They are delighted with their new computer which is equipped with better processing capabilities and software for media-related tasks. The nuns are also very happy to have the small printer, which they can use to print identification documents and other materials, further enhancing the administrative capabilities of the Media Room.
The Media Room, maintained by Ven. Delek Yangdon la and Ven. Delek Yangchen la now features upgraded technology that will greatly support the documentation and dissemination of the nunnery’s events and activities.

Led by two nuns, Venerable Delek Yangdon and Venerable Delek Yangchen, the media section at Dolma Ling has contributed significantly to maintaining a visual record of the nunnery’s activities. It is essential for sharing updates with our supporters.
