Wild Plum-headed parakeets come to Dolma Ling Nunnery for food during the cold months

During the cold winter months, the wild Plum-headed parakeets living near Dharamsala come to Dolma Ling Nunnery for a bit of food. This photo was taken by one of the nuns.

You can close your eyes and be transported to the nunnery’s gardens with this beautiful short recording of the morning prayers and bird song. Back by popular demand.
